You'll need to use software like NVU to create your site in html. You can then upload it to your webspace using an FTP client like FileZilla.

Depending on the content of your site, you may prefer to use a Content Management System (CMS) such as Joomla or e107 - you install these on your account, then create the pages online without having to use FTP. Have a look in the Website Software forum for other user's opinions on different types of CMS if you're interested.
