any tips on how I could become a better webdesigner? I'm kinda new at the whole web designing scene...

oh, and i know that the banner sucks, I only made it like that because it was the only thing i could think of that would match the site. its a site that is used as a place to view tournament results and records/ratings of people that raced in my maximum tune tournaments...

You have invalid source code. One step better iss to make it valid. http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://gfx.revolutionscripting.com/egaming/ You don't have any doctype on your site. You should use HTML4.01 Transitional, because you have lots of to do if you want use XHTML1.0 Transitional. Always use alt-atribute in img-tag. You have used CSS, so use more of it and forget inline styles. When you use css, you can use HTML4.01 Strict, but you have lots of to do when you want to use it.

Site looks nice and you have good contrast of colours. You should use other method in not finished link. Forget http://forum and use #forum.

When you fix your site code, your site will be much better.

Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"

Thx.
I'm using php and the includes function, so do I have to put that code on the top of all my pages or can I just put it in the file that I include at the top of all my pages?

I also include my top of site. I have it on my header file. Add it on the file where you have <html>-tag.

The website looks pretty nice. Is it a template or did you create it yourself? If you did it yourself, I'd imagine that you know more about webdesign than I do. I do notice that your links point to things like "http://staff" rather than a webpage. Does this mean that these are just placeholders?

When designing a website, always start with a goal in mind. That goal is "how will I solve my visitors problems?" Then you will have a good website. Remember, content is king.

Good luck on your site!

It's looking fine.

For some reason, the space between the menu and submenu and the content isn't working for me.

It just looks kinda weird actually. The banner, even though it's not really done yet, I would just advise some stuff then.

Put something with colours that match your site. Your current banner shows off a lot of hot colours. Your site is very much different and there's no re-occurance // motives.

Always use colour themes and try to have colour re-occur alot, it makes it all look very related.

You're tittle, Elimination gaming, the gaming is red, so maybe put some other stuff red too? Like links, or tittles?

More motives.

Other than that, your site is very good. Good luck with it.

It's a bit graphics heavy. I hope you have content that can measure up.

It's not bad if you consider that you are new to it. Of course theres always things to improve, but i suggest that you keep designing and some day you will be great. Try to take a look at som tutorials (it helps a lot of people i think) and maby take a look at some other websites to get some inspiration.

My friend, i like the fonts that you used for the links. I think that they are great. I believe that these fonts are usually used for gamings, yes? But what in the world do you mean by "Tournament holding at its best"?

On another note, the buttons for the "latest news" and "weekly polls" are quite distracting. You may like to remove the buttons and instead just underline the whole line. This would remove the distraction from the main content - which contents is more important than any secondary.

Overall the site is OK. Although i would like some rollover effect for your buttons such as HOME and STAFF. But i know that this would add to the already graphics heavy website. So that would not be necessary. Unless you would like to put just a small rollover, if not than its fine.

Please add more contents. As of now, it is a really empty website. Very Happy

Tips:
-Never have more than 2 flash images and 5 overall images. They are just plain distracting, and it shouts "I have horrible content, so check out my pretty pictures."
-Almost never use a black background. It makes text hard to read and is very annoying.
-NEVER use italics, bold, and underline all on one word. It makes it look very obvious. Also, never underline anything without the intention of embedding a link. This make people want to click on it.
