How to disable mouse clicking sound (win 2000)?

Andrew426
I know this may seem like a stupid query, but Ive been trying to get rid of the annoying clicking noise that you get when you click on things in most programs (explorer, firefox and winamp are the ones I have a problem with - but it does it in all programs). I have gone through sounds and audio disabling all of the other system noises, but I cant seem to find how to disable the one that annoys me the most (the clicking noise).

10 frih$ to the first person who can help.

It's called "Start Navigation" under XP, may be the same in 2K

It's fairly simple to get rid of; it's in the Sounds control panel, as ChrisP1984 says it's probably called "start navigation". But if all else fails, search for start.wav, replace it with a blank wav file.

Il give u 100 frih$ each, since you both helped.
