I'm starting a job teaching Bulgarian teenagers (about 14-15) English, and I was looking for some topics to debate. I was thinking about: Bulgaria joining EU and global warming, but if any of you have other suggestions I would appreciate them, especially if you are from that age group.
Okay well, Im american so that's i will be able to give you. Here are some topics including politics and american culture which might be the same in Bulgaria: (ps Im 14)
*Movies and Celebrities
*New Laws that are being passed
*Wars that are going on right now
*The Criminal Justice System (Capital Punishment, etc.)
That's all i can think of that is not strictly american.
- The death penalty.
- The separation of church and state (less to debate here).
- Foreign intervention: yes or no? (e.g. the USA in El Salvador; USA in Somalia)
