TSR means Terminate but Stay Resident. It was a cheap way to achieve multitasking in DOS through assembly. Since all modern operating systems have multitasking, I suggest you don't worry about this.

Sorry to disappoint you brother you cant write Terminate but Stay Resident through C in any of the newer versions of microsoft windows as they will not allow you to directly call system call INT 21H/4CH.
