Has your new year's resolution survived the first month?
Has your new year's resolution survived the first month?
i'm having better luck this year...my new years resolutions for 2006 were not completed at all
Lol.. I haven't kept my resolutions so far. .Been biting my nails
I did not make any resolution this year. But really kool things are happening this year with me. So im happy and I am gonna let it remain that way.
What about yours???
I don't think I'd ever made a new years resolution at all.
I guess it's time to think of one now and stick to it
people usually set expectation too high. Or some set impossible expectation... at the end, all crash and burn
Yupp, mine was to tell none that i had one. DAMNIT!
The truth is, i dident bother to think of one. Maybe i should try to get less lazy.. Nah, thats to boring..
I have kept all of them!
Cause I have made no official resolutions at all ;]
But I wanted to exercise more for some time and in this year I have started to do a lot more exercising.
I have kept them!
Well, it was just 1, but it still feels very good.
i havent been keeping my new years resolution sadly. i wish i would but it just seems impossible.
lol, i cant even remember what mine were, let alone keep them
hmm.. i dont think i have ever made a new years resolution and i doubt that i ever will. Mostly because i am content with myself, i dont think i need to change, and thats good enough for me...
oh wait, when i was a kid i made a resolution to not make anymore resolutions... sweet i know.
Well, I can't even remember what they were... Is this year over yet? I sure wish it were. Smile, have fun, dance in the rain even though your heart breaks.
I couldn't think of a good resolution this year, so I didn't make any. I guess that just means I'm happy with how things are going.
So far it's surviving. Want to know why? Actually, it's because I'm done with false promises to myself. Every dec 31st I promess this and that, and by April of the next year I look back and say: "relax, you still have time" and, @ October, I fall in despair and disappointment.
So, don't promess yourself too much, that's my advice.
Nope, just to hard to eat.
I never make them either.
I've failed already unfortunatly - let myself down
What were they man?
Only one, I told you drunkenly on new years
Ohhh yes lol! I wasent bad that night, but I have had several drinks since then....
I made quite a few and still hanging onto most of them although the cutting down on computer time was out of the window by lunchtime Jan 1st.
I didn't succed first but now I'm making a new go for it. I just ate an apple!!!!!!!! Now the anxiety start to come.
I am doing pefect with my New Year's Resolution ever since November 2005, which was to quit smoking!
Mine failed right from the start. I wanted to paint more, as well as start a steady practice routine for guitar, but I haven't done either.
The guitar one is the same as mine - same result too.
Yep... so far so good...
I told myself that I would not do anything that would get me killed... so far, I am still alive and well, so everything is working out well this year...
On a serious note... yes, I have cut back in smoking...
I did not make one for this year. Too many things going on to put myself under any additional pressure.
I said I was gunna quit smoking.
I had one today...
But I have only had 9 since january. that still counts right?
I was smart enough to not make any resolutions, and I'm keeping them just fine.
I never had a new year's resolution. But if i had thought of one, I am probably straying off course of it.
This was the first new years resolution I've ever had :/ I managed to eat a little more though it's getting worse again ;( Food is evil.
It's very proper time to think of my new resolutions..
One of my resolutions was to stop smoking.
I've kept my the resolution still....
I take my hat off to you. I understand how it can be to quit smoking. I did it five years ago - and three years ago, and two years ago, well you get the picture.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and maybe one day I will manage it too - I just hope its not when it is too late.
Did you just go cold turkey?
I think the Allan Carr Easyway method is the best.
no resolution means no problem breaking it. i never had resolution, and thats good...
When I was a little kid, I always make New Year's resolutions. And even though how hard I tried to make one, I always end up as a failure. So now I no longer make any resolutions so that I can have a peace of mind.
I wasn't really into any of these things. However, because I have been really planning to quit smoking on my birthday this year, I decided to start really early and make it my New Year's instead of my birthday resolution.
So I quit. I did slip once, I really felt like I would die if I didn't have a smoke, so I did have three puffs. That was the second week of January, and I haven't had any since.
I think resolutions, in order for them to actually work, have to really mean something for the person making the commitment to resolve things. It shouldn't be "just because" it's New Years. I think that's going to be defeating the purpose.
I didn't have any new years resolutions / except that I would continue eating right and keep on doing my sports. So I'm cool with what I'm doing haha.
I'd have to say that mine didn't because I can't even remember setting a goal for myself... So if I did set one, it was very short lived because it's only February and I can't even remember what my goal was...
Sadly enough I didnt make a resolution this year. I had 3 surgerys, but I did last years surgery, i'm skinny now! LOL
I fear I have to join in with the "didn't quite manage to quit smoking" thing.
Other than that, well yeah. I promised myself I'd be eating healthier food, working out and running more often, and I have. I'm just curious as to whether it will last until the summer. Of course, no one else than me can stop me from doing it, but it's easier to not do it, so... I hope I'll manage to keep up.
I'm supposed to study at least 5 hours everyday.
Well there's no chance i can break my New Year's resolution.
Thats because, i didn't even make one. For past few years its been a policy decision not to have any. If you want to work on something, set the goal for it NOW, and not at the start of a year. I don't see any point in New Years resolutions, bcos wats new year, its just another day, where the last digit in the years place goes up by one. Nothing more than that!!!
Mine was to give up new year's resolutions for lent. I'm doing pretty well, I haven't made a single resolution since!
Do not have one.
Have never had
My new years resolution was to do more homework. Do you think I have done so? Not at all. I won't do it and I can't do it
New Years reslutions should actually be something small that you work on throughout the year..
When I mean small, habbits aren't exactly small.
Possibly something like. I will go to the Gym every week would be better because your adding not taking away.
(My logic does have small sense in it)
