Why don't you just do a google search for 'wma to mp3 convert'...i'm sure you'll find hundreds of programs

Most CD rippers should be able to do that. Just go into ripping preferences and select MP3 (128 or 160 Kb/s is what most people use)

Hello!

There are many various tools out there than can convert from WMA to MP3, for example, go to http://www.brothersoft.com/mp3_audio/cd_to_mp3/ and check out the various tools there.

I am suprised as to why you didn't rip your cd's into mp3 in the first place. I recommend iTunes. To do it, simply go to Edit -> Options -> Advanced -> Ripping and choose the ripping options that suit your needs. Most people will find that mp3 at 128kb/s (kilobytes per second) is suitable for mp3 players, and if it is solely being used for cellphones, then even lower would be fine usually.

Good luck and happy listening.

I could be wrong but wont Nero and music match jukebox do that for you?

try

CD-DA X-Tractor is a fantastic open source development project that includes a ripper and incorporates the latest LAME mp3 converter. Ability to encode to the OGG Vorbis format is also provided.

The program uses AKrip, an open source ripper with great jitter correction that produces accurate WAV files and fast speeds. Ripping on my Plextor 16/10/40 took only 33 seconds. When output settings were changed to rip and encode on the fly with LAME VBR setting at 5 (mid quality), it only took a minute and a half and quality was very good.

For a free WAV to MP3 converter and CD ripper, CD-DA X-Tractor is a steal. Extra features include CDDB lookup and automatic file naming. Use this program in conjunction with MP3 CD Burner and you have a complete MP3 package. Great program and highly recommended.

I personally find DbPowerAmp to be quite efficient in converting anything to anything... All my music goes through that program before it goes to 'my music', converting everything to 128k mp3... it's simply too much a waste of space to do it in higher quality.

Wavepad, so you can convert it to anything.

Also, if you know a part of a song that you would like to make into a ringtone, you can cut out that part of the song, then save the song, and go to the link where you uploaded it, and you can choose to "SAVE AS RINGTONE"

I agree, it is not cool to say good things about Microsoft but WMP is a superb piece of kit in my book anyway.

The best idea that would save alot of time would be to use Itunes. It will rip the songs off your cds in MP3 format. Then just transfer them to your phone. Check to see if your phone actually needs 128kbps though... if it doesnt set itues to use a lower bitrate and then the files won't take up unnecessary space on your phone!
budazz
you can use musicbox to convert wma to mp3 vice versa
sbel

Why don't you just rip right into .mp3 files? It would certainly be a lot easier and faster. You can just google for programs that rip into .mp3.

Personally I've used Audiograbber and Free CD Rip. They're very simple and work well, but most importantly free.
saeleyjnr
just use itunes.
Infact, pretty much most/every type of media player can convert cds/wma's to mp3s

I agree - DBPowerAmp is the way to go. I use the right click > convert, function all the time.

You'll need an extra plug-in to encode WMA files - just vist the DBPowerAmp site and get it from there.

I recommend iTunes since you can be confident it does not contain adware or spyware or bundles. =) Seen one called WMA to MP3 Converter too, but I forgot the sit. www.freewarefiles.com <-- Use this to search for useless tools, but I won't guarantee it doesn't contain spyware and adware.
