Hey everyone,
Ok so I finally came here to ask you guys for your opinion because I have been switching on what CMS to use. So my main two CMS that I would like to chose between are e107 and Joomla. Now here the specifications that I would like:
- Easy to use
- Easy to code plug-ins
- Easy to create themes/templates
- Content can be easily organized, based on categories and sub-categories.
- Easy to install plug-ins
- Control over user groups, and their permissions [If possible]
Ok so I hope that gives you a picture of what CMS would be right for my site. but here is a little bio of what my site is going to be all about. I want to create a WEB 2.0 experience where the users will be able to upload almost any type of media [mostly pics and videos] and comment on them, rate them, etc... Now I want to be able to make plug-ins for such a site since I have certain ideas of what should be added to the site. So I need a CMS where plug-in managers and creating plug-ins for it is very simple.
So which CMS based on this info do you recommend?
P.S.
Just a quick question, Is it possible given time and knowledge of PHP to change the look of the e107 back end admin area? Like add bigger buttons and all and rearrange items into groups, etc...? [Not part of the decision making process up there!]
