I have just started reading the book "Synchronicity" by Allan Combs and Mark Holland. So far it is facinating, and I was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences with meaningful coincidence?
For example, and this is an anecdote the authors use at the beginning of the book, Carl Jung was in a therapy session with a woman who was decribing a dream about a scarab beetle when a beetle that was very similar flew through the window. The scarab beetle is a symbol of rebirth, and the coincedence helped the woman to make a breakthrough in her therapy.
In another example, several years ago, when I was working as a pizza delivery driver, one of my co-workers had a number (I don't recall the number, but I'll use 624 as a handy example) pop up three different ways (she got back $6.24 in change, her first delivery that day was to house number 624, and she saw it one other place). So she played them that night in the pick 3 lotto and won $150, which was just enough to pay her power bill and keep her electricity on.
Basicaly, the premise is that all things are interconnected, and that events that seem coincedental can actually have meaning.
Have you ever noticed anything like this in your life?
