Basic BIOS password crack - works 9.9 times out of ten
This is a password hack but it clears the BIOS such that the next time you start the PC, the CMOS does not ask for any password. Now if you are able to bring the DOS prompt up, then you will be able to change the BIOS setting to the default. To clear the CMOS do the following:
Get DOS prompt and type:
DEBUG hit enter
-o 70 2e hit enter
-o 71 ff hit enter
-q hit enter
exit hit enter
Restart the computer. It works on most versions of the AWARD BIOS.
Much easier to open the box and look for the Link normally next to the BIOS Battery. Move the link. Works on ALL Bios'es
Haha..
Great one
Interesting.
I should recommend this to a friend of mine, as he has a machine where he can't get past the BIOS password. Oh, I found something similar and saved it, where you can wipe the hard drive :

Remove all partitions from the hard-drive :
---------------------------------------------------------
WARNING : THIS WILL REALLY REMOVE ALL DATA FROM YOUR
HARD-DRIVE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK !
Turn on the computer. When the message Starting MS-DOS® appears press [F5].
If you are using Windows® 95/98, when the message Starting Windows 95/98
appears press [F8]. Then select Command Prompt Only. At the DOS command
prompt, type the following :
debug[Enter]
Where [ENTER] is to press the enter key once. CAUTION : Performing the
following will remove all data from your hard disk drive.
NOTE : Type the following bolded text only. You will receive an error if you
type anything other than the bold text. The non-bolded text represents what
will appear on your screen once you press [Enter] after typing each command.
-F 200 L1000 0 [Enter]
-A CS:100 [Enter]
xxxx:0100 MOV AX,301 [Enter]
xxxx:0103 MOV BX,200 [Enter]
xxxx:0106 MOV CX,1 [Enter]
xxxx:0109 MOV DX,80 [Enter]
NOTE : ( -- '80' for HardDrive 0, '81' for HardDrive 1 )
xxxx:010C INT 13 [Enter]
xxxx:010E INT 20 [Enter]
xxxx:0110 [Enter]
-G [Enter]
'Program terminated normally'
Turn off the computer. On the next startup the hard drive will need to be partitoned and formatted.

I personally prefer using the FDISK command in MS-DOS to wipe a hard drive.
Hope someone else takes interest into this.

How do I get the DOS prompt if it is protected by password?
yeah same question as above - how do one get into BIOs when its password protected. F8 doesn't work!!! it will alway ask for password everytime the computer starts before showing anything.
noliver's much better... though a little complicated opening hte CPU and the like.

then it's not the bios which is passworded, then it is computer.
Yeah, just open crack the case and your done. That's almost every PC geek do I think.
the11throck and dule, u both talk too much without actually tryin out wat the tutorial is all about.
Try this: restart your system, press del and wait for it to get into BIOs and set a password for it.
Restart the system again and try pressing F8 to get ot the Dos mode or watever... u will never get into it. atleast as according the tutorial given above.
