Does anyone out there know if I'll be able to find a driver that'll work with XPhome without forcing me to open up my comp and look up serial codes and junk???

The realtek AC-97 driver will work just fine. Since they redid their website it is alot easier to find.

Cmedia's website sucks and always has errors. So try the realtek it should work. I never had a problem using it with C-media cards.

get everest home edition free version.

this is the direct link to download

http://www.portablefreeware.com/download.php?id=4

if you cannot download because they disable hot link, you can got to the site (http://www.portablefreeware.com) and look for it under system/hardware information.

it will show you all hardware in your computer.

once you know the manufacturer, you can go to their website to get the driver, or look for generic driver.
