I was playing around trying to get a good "animation" look to some live video like that used in the Charles Schwab spots. I managed to get something that looked really pretty good on my video monitor. So I decided I'd post it on youtube....YUCK!! It looks like utter crap on there, I wonder if they further compress what you send to them?
The link is:

if anyone wants to look at it....I dunno if you can tell much as it looks pretty bad on there. I am pretty good at video compression and it seems they further compress your video
Ya, the quality isn't the best
Youtube actually converts the videos into .FLV-files. Maby it has compresses the data further in the proccess?
Anyway, cool effect
Thanks for the info....doesn't sound like youtube is the best place to show this since they recompress the video. I'm going to try and find a better place and then post the video again. Then if people like it, I can post and tell how I got the effect. It almost doesn't look like I did anything to the video on youtube. I'll post back here when I find a better place to put the video.....
try stage 6
stage6.divx.com (i think) or just google it. That will have the best quality.
Wait,Wait.Wait!!
If you follow some easy intructions in the link below you will find you can get much sharper videos with less interlacing.
I also have an account with stage6.....umm the upload speed was terrible and the interface.......well enough said.
But to finish it the qualitly was DIVX
If you spend a bit of time and follow the intructions you will be pleased by the results,I hope.

is Ulead Videostudio any good?
Youtube is a great place to post videos! I must say that it is definetely better than Video Google! The picture quality is a bit bad, but it's ok, it isn't that bad!
Adobe's editing softwares are good and so are Apple's, if you happen to own a Mac!
I think it is fantastic. Everyne can see what they want just going to a page and thats it. think is great! And its easy to use!

That's cool! I didn't know that you can download the videos from Youtube...
It would be nice if the image quality was better!
YouTube? Progressive video, 24fps, less red on your image. And be happy.
Hi
Has anyone done a review of the best Flash (flv) encoder to use to create flash videos?
I have seen On2Go mentioned - I am trying to encode a 4.30 min video and I have been using Flash MZ 2004 but the resulting video clip has acceptable video quality at about 550 kb data rate (but the video is about 19.5 Mb in size! So the takes too long to download and stops and starts
What About apples H.264 encoder
I have tried You tube but don't want the logo the video! Also can't save it
Any recomendations??
Yeahh sometimes on youtube videos do not turn out that good.
