friends, last week we saw india become reentry space club member by retriving one of their satlite .Only u.s.a ,russia, china and now india got this status. The next mission for india is to achieve sending man to space (its called chandrayan). And also india got a plan to build a space station like MIR . As a developing nation does india succeed in this,hope india will.best of luck to india and their space research.

I'm not sure....I tend to think they're maybe more interested in creating weapons (like the A-bomb) because of their neighbor Pakistan.
Maybe they're planning to build their own version of the "StarWars" program the American government wanted to create a couple of years ago....

India has an impressive power, many of its people is starving but they are developing an expensive nuclear program, a space proyect and several other scientific or military endeavors. Which is interesting that even though there is a lot of poverty in the country they are not spending the money in social aid, they are investing as a first world country does. Lets see what happens since many countrines could lean from this example.

Agreed, both China and India are threats to the U.S. economy, competition-wise.
