So Slow

OK something is screwed because my computer is running the slowest I have ever seen, so has my broadband internet.
I run an Acer Travelmate
Intel Celeron M 370
512MB DDR2
Firefox 2.1 browser

I have scanned it with my two anti-spyware softwares (Spybot and Ad-Aware)
My Anti-Virus Software (Nod-32)
And I have a firewall (Zone Alarm)
All were fully updated and all came up saying nothing was on the system.
I have 12 gigs of space remaining

I run Windows XP Pro SP2

Could someone please help me out

With the protection that you have it is still possible that some spyware got through. A good checker to use that is free, but you have to manually run it is a squared which also cleans, available here. Another thing to to then do once you have established it is clean is then download and run a program called ccleaner available here. Use this to clear out all the temporary files and bad registry entries. Then defragment your hard disk drive. This all may take a couple of hours to complete, but in the end your computer should be a lot faster and more reliable.

1 Try a registry cleaner to clean ur registry.
2 Keep some empty space in ur drive in which windows is installed
3 Uninstall useless programs.
4 BTW did u bychance compress ur files on d drive. If so then its gonna take time to open those files
