Im just got involved with a little bit of quad racing on a dirt/sand track with jumps and stuff. Can anyone suggest a good quad for jumping that won't break or kill me. Smile

The Yamaha Grizzly is pretty good. It's a little expensive but it is a good mix of racing suspension, power, and utility use like hunting and towing. I have a Honda Rancher 350cc it's OK but the suspension is too weak for racing. Suzuki and Kawasaki are pretty nice. If you get a racing bike 450cc should be enough. Any FWD like the Grizzly is better with a big engine.

What is the difference between a quad bike and an atv?
schumway
no difference from quad and ATV most of the time although ATV stands for All Terrain Vehicle and in NB that includes anything not permitted on the road but used for transportation like snowmobiles, tracked vehicles, 4x4 trucks, dune buggies, motorcross bikes, etc

I have 2x Yamaha 660s and wish we were permitted on roads because they are better built and safer than some of the cars out there today!!!!

Get a honda 400 EX there great for all that stuff. They have a light front end which is great for wheelies and jumping. There 4 stroke meaing right there power compared with a 2 stroke. You can pick up a good one for cheap.
