Reuniting for one show, doesnt mention any future plans, but may the gods let them see how much they love being rage.
Thats good news.
Sorry, I can't view the link...says The page cannot be found.
But hopefully it'll be for more than 1 show.
Perhaps the one time I will ever wish I was American. Or lived in America. You get the jist.
Yeah, I would enjoy listening to Zack de la Rocha again, although Audioslave was also a good band
I heard about this a few days ago. That is pretty sweet but I really don't see it lasting for any more than just this one show.
i well grew out of them but hell i remember the first albums. this could be fun. Smashing Pumpkins and Rage together anyone.
that would ****** own
Rage are awesome. Really excited about this.
Maybe you should try to go to Rage against the machine's homepage on following url:
The rumours seems to be true.
... because Chris Cornell and his crappy music sucks.
After watch "Casino Royale" and see what he's making, I've got really disappointed with old RATM dissidents, even Mr. Cornell being the only credited for the music.
However, hope RATM sticks together even after the Coachella Festival. And I hope also all this is not for money (only).
(and this is also interesting connecting to the Sepultura reunion rumors...)
hehe chris cornell is officially a joke since the mment audioslave began. Audio slave was always going to be rage without Zach de la rocha. it was never gonna have the edge rage had and well chris cornell owned in soundgarden until he decided to styart singing like he'd eating sandpaper and sounded like hed ripped his vocal chords out.
I miss RATM.
I live only an hour away from Coachella, where RATM is headlining with their reunion. But it's an expensive festival...
My friends were talking about making the trip to california to see the show (we live in Ontario, Canada). You are right The Mitchell, it is pretty expensive indeed. I really hope that they go on tour after this show. It would be hard to believe they dont miss being in such a great, respected band. I personally think that nothing compares to their first album. I wonder if they would still have the same chemistry if they were to write more music now. I'm really getting ahead of myself though...
i hope they'll stick together longer.
Re-uniting for Coachella. Sounds pretty good. Just hope that their performance is of a high standard.
and it does beg the question, why?
why now? why just coachella? why why why why why oh why? etc
yeah they are playing at Coachella with alot of bands i think its going to be a three day thing my bro and his friends already bought tickets for it
... but don't get me wrong: Soundgarden was a really good band, one of the best on Seattle scene.
I've never really liked RATM, mostly because their lyrics are the lame 'in-your-face-look-we've-got-bad-attitudes' crap that I hate. I do love Tom Morello though.
And I didn't mean the above to offend anyone with the above, but the whole "F*** you I won't do watcha tell me!" thing grates on my nerves after a while.
Rage were awesome. I totally loved killing the name. Not such a huge fan of soundgarden or Audioslave, neither did it for me.
Also, i really detested renegades, their cover album. Was a bit too half-assed for my liking.
This is funny because just the other day I was going through some old records that I haven't played in ages. Good times, good times!
If something incredible doesn't happen I won't be able to see the show but if they make like a concert dvd out of it or something I might get it.
Apparently Zack de la Rocha left the band because he felt constrained by the band's musical limitations.
Given the fact that he doesn't seem to have done anything musical at all since, I think that he might have come to accept those limitations.
I was surprised when I read that as RATM's music was pretty diverse. Each track had it's own sound and the group as a whole was pretty hard to categorise.
It would be great if this DID mean a comeback. But my hopes aren't that high.
I'd be interested to see their performance.
Will it be as angry and full of passion as their old performances..?

... and the place where they are making the show is desertic. But with the bands are playing in Coachella, I could survive a few days camping in there...
Well, Audioslave has broken up and Rage has added 3 more shows before they "call it quits" again.
Could a full-scale reunion be on the horizon? :O
Audioslave has broken up?
is that confirmed? why? when?
good riddance i say. never liked them.
I loved the band!! is the best!! but.. you know... I would like to have the band renued again but.... i dont know... I hope so!
yes, audioslave has broken up, its so sad, but its happy to think there will be a reunion of rage against in coachella,,,lets see what happen
Soundgarden was good, sounded fresh.Rage against the machines are awesome.Audioslave was good, very professional but with a lack of rebel and something what can be called rock-n-roll spirit.
