Does Frihost Directory will pass Page Rank?

Hi all,

Few minutes back i submitted my site http://www.pcprice.info in Frihost Directory under Computer and Internet section.

Google Page Rank shows that the Page Rank for the Directory listing page is 4.

I want to know that frihost directory listing page will pass Rank to my site (My site is hosted in server 2).

What will be accurate PR value will be passed to my site where that page containing more that 30 links (including google ads).

No, It will not pass any pagerank.
PR is not passed to links in google ads.

no one knows the formula for passing PR but I'm pretty sure that it does pass PR from the directory

The FriHost Directory, like the forum, puts the nofollow attribute on the links. This prevents search engine's bots following the links, and passing PR to the linked pages.

You can build links to your sites by:-

1) Directory submission - List of free directories can be found http://www.directorycritic.com/free-directory-list.html
2) Article Submission - http://www.beansoftware.com/Article-Sites-Master-List.aspx
3) social bookmarks - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1831733&postcount=1
4) Link exchange request with the top hundred sites for your primary keyword.
5) Using Blogs
6) press releases
etc. etc.

I don't think it passes PR.

I am pretty sure Frihost uses a nofollow tag throughout the entire website, so basically sigs, and listings are useless here.

why would frihost use a nofollow in the Directory? just wondering cause i would think we would want them to follow ... wouldn't we?

Links to banned site decrease site page rank also chance of banning from google or other search engines. This may be the reason for frihost's no follow links.

Hmm i hadn't known Frehost use nofellow attribute for signatures and directory. hope Admins or mods can tell something about this.

No. All signature links used in frihost forum has no follow links. For example while tracking the source of this page i got

Many sites these days use the nofollow attribute, it helps to stop PR leaching to other sites. Personally, I think it is a little unethical, but that's the way it goes...

The directory does not link to your site. If you check the link, it goes to go.php?id=*** rather than your URL. This is then temporarily redirected (302) to your site.
So no, it shouldn't help your PR.
