Windows XP Logon Problem

Diablosblizz
Okay I just had my windows reloaded, and I had this problem on both vers.

Heres the problem: Windows gives me this error:

"Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Please restart your computer and try again. If the problem continues, please contact the computer administrator or manufacturer." Thats the error #1. Heres #2:

"When you log off, anything you have saved will be erased."

I was wondering is WHY? Why is it telling me I cannot get to the profile that is STORED on windows.. I am so confused. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!
Ethan Bradley
Tell us any recent changes or things you have done with the computer: i.e. newly installed programs, do you scan for viruses frequenty, can you delete that account via an Admin account and create a new one, can you get your data from the Admin account, anything else you have done? In short we need to know more about what you have recently done.

looks like windows cannot access the user profile

try the steps listed here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/812339

(basically create a new windows user)

its not when I logout, its when I login.

Also, I installed Windows Defender that day, and I think it stopped for now.

Can you still get into your account, even after the errors? Or does it halt you from logging in altogether? You might be better off with just deleting that account, restarting your computer (helps), and make a new account. That's what I would do. Also, Window's Defender shouldn't have any effect on the problem. Hope this helps... If not contact Microsoft. Confused
