I am into 3D abstract art mostly and have only recently started my hand at vector art. This was done in CorelDraw. Want to learn Illustrator which I think would be far better at this kind of art.

Wow, very nice! I've always been fond of vector art, and it makes me happy whenever I see one that's done this well. Awesome use of colour, by the way.
And yes, if you like doing Vectors, learn to use Adobe Illustrator. It's worth it.

the layers are perfect, the text blends nicely with the content of the picture,

i love vector and yours is very beautiful =)
Its a good start, but the dolphins are a little hard to distinguish from the background. My opinion is i think it would look a little better if the dolphins were a bit more gray. Just an opinion though.
