Sound Problem

Hello,

When ever a sound is played through the computer it always goes through the recording bit of the computer so when ever i am on the phone through voip the other persons voice is sent back through the thing. Does this make sence? If anyone out there knows how to fix this problem can you please tell me.

Maybe your mic is plugged into the speaker port or vice versa? Check if everything is plugged in right.

Nothing is plugged in yet. But the computer records the sound that goes through the computer

Are you using any headphones?? If not the sound from your speaker goes back into your mic and loops around again.

Oh ok how do i stop it from doing this?

Well if what I said is correct, you just need to distant your mic from your speaker so the sound from the speaker doesn't go into the mic. If this isn't the problem, I think there's something to do with the line-in stuff. But I'm not clear about the situation.

I got you
go on speaker control
press options then proerties
Switch from playback to recording
and make Mono Out to to the lowest volume and do the same to Wave Mix Out.
Hope it works.
