It embed in both firefox and IE, and is very easy to use. It downloaded information from their server about the test they have done on the site, such as spamming, popups, and virus downloads and other forms of malware.
It can really keep you PC clean if you put Avast Home Free with it. Also, you can submit sites to test and no information is needed from you or collected and only untested sites are sent. No Browsing habits, IP adresses or keylogging junk on this thing. Its extremely free and extremely helpful!

Just so you know, it was a heck of a lot better before McAffee got it's hands on it.

Now it's purely biased and quite useless in my opinion. In mozilla firefox nowadays, or ie or opera, it lets you know if you're on a phishing site, or if theres popups, etc.

But sure, I agree, it's cool to see how much spam they deliver.

I use McAfee SiteAdvisor with IE7. So far I haven't had any trouble, and it is useful for warning about possible dangers from downloading from various sites. As they say, "Forewarned is forearmed."

Did you find a website, and you don't trust him? www.siteadvisor.com and check it!
Or you can download the software and when you search Google, Yahoo! or Live Search you will find a button next to the URL.
