can someone tell me why 80% of americans watch the NFL? whats so cool about it? i dont even know how to play football! soccer is easier!

I learnt a few rules by watching movies (those where a team of losers won the championship). You have to throw the ball to a team mate who has to go into the scoring area. The rules are way simpler than the rugby, and the game is less tough.
Well.. there are nations that the have a kind for each sport... it's like in Europe the Soccer is the most popular sport.. and in USA it's others kind of Sports ...

Ok, then. I'll use yor own argument against you. Why does everyone in Europe and South America like soccer? I think soccer is a boring sport. It's extremely boring and there is no hitting. We like it for the same reasons that you like soccer. And most guys that play football do it to pick up chicks. It's also the excitement to it. It's amazing how people accuse Americans of being arrogant about everything (including sports), but yet this thread is about how football (soccer) is so great, and the American sport (football) is not.
People from different countries do things differently. If you don't like, or understand American Football, that's ok. Just don't talk down on it.
