Road Legal Quad Bike

TribalArt
Heya

Im taking my Car Theory Test soon [UK] and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the insurance for a 17 year old, limited driving experience for Road Legal Quad Bikes.

Any other info like tax/running costs would be most appriceiated

Thankks

Im sorry im not quite sure that I know what a road legal quad bike is. Where I live you can drive road legal bicycles, motorcycles, and I think you can register dirt bikes but you can't bring them on the highway. I don't think you can register quads or atvs at all. Do you mean something like a kawi gator? or like a motocycle with 4 wheels?

Im in England and by the way you said 'Highway' I believe you are american?

Anyways, you can buy Road Legal Quads from UK. Its a normal Quad but it has been modified for the road, i.e. lights, mirrors, license plate etc.

Just curious as how much it would cost in insurance, road tax

i can only guess that it would be close to the motorcycle insurance.
It really depends on if they classify it as a motorcycle or a car.
