hosting on Server 2

schmidi
Hello,

i have a little problem with hosting with Net Objects Fusion 9.
Where i have to transfer the files?

The FAQ says: Server 2 /domains/<domain>/public_html/
So... my domain is schmidi.frih.net
my ftp: ftp.schmidi.frih.net

Now, how it looks like?

/domains/<schmidi.frih.net>/public.html/ ?

if i want to upload my website, a error like "do you want to create this path?" appears. After that -- nothing happens, because i have chosen the falsh path?

I need help, thanks
wumingsden
Your files need to be uploaded to: /domains/schmidi.frih.net/public_html/

The main page, index.html (or .php/another extension) should be in the public_html directory, and all other folders should be inside this directory.
schmidi
thanks for your answer.

now i know the Folder: /domains/schmidi.frih.net/public_html/
and the server: ftp.schmidi.frih.net

I tried this, but without any success.

If i understand you right wumingsden, then i have to upload all files to the Public_html directory... I have done this...

..."does not existing"...
wumingsden
are you trying to upload to public_html and Public_html ? It has to be small-case: public_html.
schmidi
Hello,

thank you for your help.

I have tried both public_html and Public_html
But the same error: "Do you want to create this folder or path?"

So, i have two opportunities with the servers: First: ftp.schmidi.frih.net
second: ns2.frih.net

What is the right one?
(Net Objects Fusion has a own ftp progi, so it could be this the cause?)

. i have no idea

/home/schmidi/domains/schmidi.frih.net/public_html/

That might do the trick - everything is stored under home. As far as I'm aware, the next folder is the first eight characters of your username (basically what your login is). Then it's domains/your_domain/public_html. Try the folder path at the top of this post. It should work. Hopefully.

ok, i tried this, but same error again... "Basisfolder could not created"0

so, is it necessary, that I need DNS attitudes?
I can upload with ftp or WebDav or SFTP...
I have to choose the FTP... right?

Just try to upload your files using filezilla, I think that will work.
http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
Just login with your ftp details and you will see the folder: public_html
Now just upload your files to that directory and you will be able to use your software....

@Hunterseaker,

i can not connect, because this error appears:
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

But they are tipped the right parameter...
This is the problem, i think. I have no access to the ftp...

Are you using FTP in active mode. If not switch to active mode and try again
schmidi
yes, i tried this program several of times...

disconnect/connect... but same error...

That you're meaning with active-mode?

If you are trying to connect at the moment, please note that there is currently an issue with the server - this may be causing your ftp connection to fail. Please see the Server Status page for updates.

Hello everbody,

Should i try another path? ftp: schmidi.frih.net

1.) /domains/schmidi.frih.net/public_html
2.)/home/schmidi/domains/schmidi.frih.net/public_html
3.)/domains/schmidi.frih.net/public_html

which is the right one?

thx
schmidi
The Solution of this problem is:

Update NetObjects Fusion from 9.0 to 10.0

then you can use the "active mode" in the ftp program of NOF
