The server 2's
Apache (HTTP): Down - 110 - Connection timed out
has been increasings day by day and the uptime statistics are also falling down to 98.60%

What exactly is causing this problem?

where as the uptime for the server 1 has exceed to 62 days. for the server2 it hadly last for a month. or less than that. Its really depressing to see the difference between server1 and server2. i thought server2 would be much better than the server1

The Current Server Status page keeps you up to date with any known problems. The server has to restart Apache (the HTTP software) every hour to prevent crashes - this causes a few moments of downtime for HTTP requests. The way the stats are monitored, the stat checker simply pings the HTTP port of server 2 - if it does so during one of the short outages, this is reported as downtime.

98.6% uptime is hardly something to complain about on a free hosting server considering the amount of features you get. Server 1 does not have new users created on it anymore and does not require the Apache restart, so it seems to be slightly more stable. However, the majority of prolems on server 2 are caused by the users - scripts crashing or hanging the server, high loads caused by scripting or spamming etc.

Please keep an eye on the server status page in future - it's purpose was to prevent hundreds of threads saying "the server is down again..." from being opened and immediately closed Wink
