Sending messages through the Wii

Has anyone figured out how to send messages using the Wii console to other Wii consoles yet?

I can't seem to figure it out. We have both registered each others Wii, but when you go to send message that option is not available...

You have to wait for the other person to accept your request and when they do then you can start sending messages. If it is a e-mail then the person has to reply to the e-mail then it automatically registers them. I never really tried it on another WII but I tried it on an e-mail. If you tell me four console number then I can try to message you to see if it works but it should.
