Ok, I'm reading Moby-Dick. Since I'm not enjoying it right now (I'm probably 50 pages from the end), I'd like to know who out there liked it and why. I understand this is, you know, a really important work of literature, and I have a general idea of why, which is part of the reason that I continue to read it. (I'm not exactly hating it, either...I just feel unmoved by a lot of the story) I'd like to hear some of the positive or interesting sides to this story. Anyone out there feel really impacted by this book?
Moby-Dick
its been a long time since i read 'moby dick' but i remember liking it in parts - BUT a lot of it i found very boring and almost unreadable. some of the parts which outlined obscure maritime details to the nth degree i just skipped over to be honest.
