On the main page of frihost it says a forum of 'around 500,000 posts'. now that we have crossed 500,000 posts, change it to
'more than 500,000 posts' or 'over 500,000 posts', it sounds better!![/url]
Yeah maybe but I dont no if it would make a big difference. Like if i saw it like it is now and how you want it it wouldnt really be a big factor for my decision of signing up.
Putting "over 500000 posts" sure seems more professional.
I do agree with ncwdavid, but there's nothing wrong with making a small change. It may throw off professional free-host shoppers... (Well what else would I call em). So yeah, updating it to make it a more future oriented statement would be the professional way to go.
Remember, success is never in the present, only in the future.
Or something. Whatever.
"Around" is still accurate even if it's more than. One is just more specific than the other.
Should this not be in the suggestion forum part and not in the general chat?
Or, you could pick one of these:
500,000+
Approximately 500,000
More than 500,000
Over 500,000
About 500,000
Exceeding 500,000
At Least 500,000
hehehe
Get the actual number from the database!
I know this will put a very small extra strain on the database, but why not
Or set up a cron job to look in the database every day at an off time, round it off and add "about". Then you can set it and forget it, and it's always up to date without putting a large strain on the database.
I think Bondings was planning to do something like that - only it was going to be an RSS file so we can have the stats on our sites as well
