Im looking to have a dedicated website to store all my links and some useful files like pdf or word docs. any ideas ??

It seems like you want a file storing type site. I think that may be against Frihost's TOS. You may want to check that.
Otherwise, it is very easy to do. You just upload your files and put links to them. Works pretty well.
