I was looking for some advertising space on primarily tech-related websites (you know... where all the geeks hang out  ) for my site that also hands out information on other interesting geekery.
Rates are negotiable, and I'm looking for several advertising spots across a number of websites, so let me know if you're interested.
I'm looking for:
[Cheapest / Least Valuable]
- Text Adverts (possibly dynamic) such as:
e-ignite: Communicate Securely -> Link to http://www.e-ignite.co.uk
e-ignite: Your internet, your privacy. Discuss -> Link to http://www.e-ignite.co.uk/blog
- Small image adverts (again, possibly dynamic - the coding is up to you though) something like the userbar size of the image in my sig. I'll provide the images, and again it will be to my main site and to my blog.
[Medium Value]
- Small text-box style adverts, similar to Google Adsense size. Something along the lines of:

The price involved here would depend on a few factors - for example, if you add the text and links yourself, I pay more. If I have to write the articles etc, I pay less. If you do want to offer this service, please let me know - post some links to the articles you think would be useful and I'll check them out first.
[Highest Value]
- Banners (top, middle or bottom of page)
- Sidebars (left or right, high or low)
The banners would really need to be created by you and approved by me. I'll pay for the banner images separately (in case I use them on other sites) and then for the actual advertising as well.
[Payment / Charging]
Payment will, of course, be in FRIH$. I'm willing to let you give me an estimate - if your site is busy/active with plenty members then you're likely to be paid more than if your site is smaller or has fewer active members. Please bear in mind that I'm looking for several sites to advertise on, so please feel free to give me an estimate if you have a small site, or if others have already made offers.
I'm also happy to pay weekly / monthly / bi-monthly / quarterly / six-monthly / yearly, or by pay-per-click. You'd need to provide the click monitoring, but I'd be able to verify the numbers from my end.
I'd like to, but my website doesn't attract that many people

Pashmina, I've looked at your site and I do appreciate the offer. However, since it's primarily about clothing, I don't think your users would be interested in my site. I do really like your site - it has a nice, clear simple layout and is very much to the point. I worry that adverts for my site would make it look cluttered and really not be worthwhile since I doubt that your "every-day" users would be looking for information on Cryptography.

Anyone else care to offer a site / quote? I would anticipate that the adverts would be most suited to tech related sites, or forums / blogs etc.
i could write a pay per click script, which could email you or advertiser when you get x clicks, or send you the stats.
ill do it for free, or for a very small fee (<20frih).
could also set it to send a code to you when user clicks ad, or the ad script could be controlled directly from your site

Ok - That would be great. Write it and let me know how much you want based on time spent creating it etc. If there's any php-work required at my end, I'll need some help with that too - me and php don't get on too well!

Looks like a pretty good match to be honest. I've made a few buttons:

They're fairly small, unobtrusive images that could fit anywhere. They're also sized to fit in a blog sidebar if you like, but the positioning is up to you. You could also add me to your blog-roll if you like - if you subscribe to Technorati this will mean visitors to my site will find yours and vice-versa.
And please let me know what you would like to be paid for this. Our last transaction was not related to this advertising, so I'd like to give you something for it.

Unfortunately, the images you supplied where a big too big for my sidebar, so I improvised a little, the image is also only available on my homepage though, but there is a blog roll link hat will be seen from each page:

As for monitering them, I suggest that you get Google Analytics (You might already have it though, I'm not sure) and then goto: All Reports > Visitor Segment Performance > Referring Source and that should tell you how many visitors came from my site.

Ok, I've got one "affiliate" up and running - is anyone else interested?
I thought that blog and forum owners particularly may be interested because of the relative ease and tidiness that links / ads / banners can be implemented. I'll hopefully have a PPC script with me soon - I'll pay either by PPC, or by time, it's up to you.

EDIT: Here are some banners that could also be used. I'd prefer if they were dynamic (ie. changed at each pageview) but it's not a major requirement.

No, but I could make some. What site are you suggesting to put the buttons on? What are you charging?
Its my blog and I'll have the button on each and every page of the blog. Later on I might expand my sight (ex. make it themed towards something). This is my first time in the whole advertising thing so I hav no idea what to charge..maybe 30-40 FRIH$ a week? I dunno..

Frih$ per click isn't really a good idea since some stupid people do that to many sites with google clicking numberous times just to get payed more.
(I am not saying that garionw is one of those people)
You can do this if you like, but I am just saying it may not be such a good idea.

Based on advertising with another Frihoster, I got quite a lot more than a single small banner for less than 30FRIH$ a week. I'd be happy to give you 150 FRIH$ for 3 months - is this ok with you?

Yeah, I'm aware of the potential for abuse. However, I can quite easily tell if it's being taken advantage of based on the number of unique visits, the number of pageviews per visit and the time spent on the page each visit. It's not infallible, but I trust garrionw. It's also not a massive amount of FRIH$ anyway.
Ohh, I didn't know about the unique hits, sorry...
can't someone change there IP address and make a seperate unique hit that way? I only heard that it is possible to change your IP, but does it count as unique if you access a site with 1 IP and then access it again with another?

Yes, this would probably count as a unique visit. You would need to remove any Google Analytics cookies from your PC as well for it to count as an additional hit though

Animal, I was wondering whether you would mind if I use any of the buttons given here in my signature at Frihost as well as in other forums. Nothing, just that I like your site and I am having some free space in my signature.

Sure, that's great - thanks. I'm afraid you'll still need to comply with the forum rules regarding signatures - the total sig can be a maximum of 600 pixels wide, 175 pixels high and 50Kb in size. I suspect that with so many images in the sig, it may be over the limit for Kilobyte size. You'll possibly need to re-save the images you're using at a lower quality, or perhaps combine them into one single image to save on memory.

Thanks for pointing that out Animal, you were right. The total size went above 50kb. I have changed it now. Although it appears a bit blurred, I hope it isn't too bad.

My site is completely run in flash, but i do have adspace for sale. I do not know how to do a pay-by-click in flash but I will sell the space per-month.
