Purely psychological. He has to say it to try and A) Instill doubt into Utd's players regarding their current form and potential, B) Tell his players that they are still going to win now that there injurie spree is over.
I had to laugh when I heard it. 6 points clear at the top going into January is a good advantage, granted it could have been higher, but all that counts is that Utd are top and look like they're staying there for a while at least.
