Here is the first paragraph on the homepage, I did not write it.
note that it is not as simple as it sounds; You have to control every single aspect as when object instances are created, and what happens when the animation is over, and this list could go on forever.
This is the discussion board, just like this one is for this web. Here you can find hundreds of Works in Progress, Help, Online Games(Limited), Graphics and Sound Files for usage, and other things. It does not have an off topic category.
Hopefully you will become a Game Designer like me.
This seems like it will make crappy games for you without any knowledge of programming. What I think is funny is that the whole point of this is for you not to learn any code but then they have there own code. LOL. Anyways, could work for some people to make games for their friends and such. That might be fun.
it sounds really cool, but like the person above me said, i'm not sure if it'd make very good games. I'd rather learn the code so i can make something even better. Deffinatly caught my interest though. I thought about downloading it, but i'd probably never use it.
Do any of you program at all? especially programming games? That's what i want to go to college for. I can't wait to go to college and start learning how to make games and just get away from this crappy life i have. College gives me a fresh start and i can start with something i like doing. It's going to be great.
Actually, Game Maker is capable of creating some pretty good games. Trust me, I've had it for a while and it can make some really good games. If you get the registered version, you can do even more.
However, I do program in several languages including C, C++, C#, Java, a bit of Visual Basic, and more. Obviously the games are going to better if you actually program them since there aren't as many limitations.
The point is really that Game Maker isn't as good as programming your own game, however, it is very capable in designing games.
