Firstly apologies in advance if this has been covered before but i coudlnt find anything relevant so far.

Anyone know of an easy to use guide for applying css to wordpress? I have just started a wordpress driven site: [url]www.irishmark.net [/url](which is hosted here at frihost). My original site is here: www.mediachill.com/irishmark/index.php On my original site i have a buch of style sheets which i wann implement into wordpress.

any help appreciated!!

Well, you firstly need to modify either the CSS or the template file to suit one another.

For example, if you want to keep your stylesheets all the same, you must modify whatever template to run with div's that are included in the stylesheet.

Example:

<div class="right"><?php some random php here ?><br /><ul><a href="http://website.site">Link1</a></ul>
</div>


But in your css there is no div class called right, but there is a "content", then you would need to modify right to suit "content".
Note: this would have to be done for the entire template because otherwise everything that depends on one another would crumble.

The best thing to do is to modify the css to suit what your other site looks like color and logo-wise, then to make necessary adjustments to the template file on it's own.

By the way, a really easy blogging software that you can use pratically any css and html file with in seconds is Snews (http://solucija.org/). You take ANY css and html template (2 files) and add an include function and add some calls, i.e. <?php content() ?>
