.Hack Infection items

Hi, I have just purchased a copy of .Hack Infection and I seem to be getting some weird items. I don't really know what they do so I am asking anyone that plays this game. Some examples of these items:

Burning Oil
Oh No Melon

What do I do with items like this?

You can use Oh No Melon to raise/breed/feed Gruntys (I forget when you gain the capability to do so), and you use Burning Oil in the Field or a Dungeon to raise one character's Fire element damage.
