PLAN B legaly over the counter?

gawargi
A strong argument for an over-the-counter Plan B pill is the increased control that easier availability would give women over their reproductive lives. One would argue that women generally consult doctors for contraceptive advice when their sexual activity is to some degree planned. However, not all sexual activity is planned; many women who have had no reason to seek out contraception from a doctor are inevitably exposed to the risk of unplanned and unwanted pregnancy. An over-the-counter Plan B would be the first step in protecting these women from such a risk.

I would like to know what you guys think. Make plan B available over the counter or not?

Plan B *IS* currently available over-the-counter now. Shouldn't be a big deal since surveys regarding sexual behavior given birth control choices showed only one thing (and something most of us already knew): few things really do anything to influence sexual behavior other than the desire to have sex!

The real issue is that women can't always get to a doctor immediately after sexual activity to get a prescription for Plan B. Some women are too poor or there is poor physician availability in their area.
