why dont you run one of those phpinfo files Razz ?

To find your version of PHP, MySQL, GD (if present), and whether or not you have safe mode OFF, download this small phpinfo.zip test file, unzip it, FTP the phpinfo.php file to your web server, then run it from your web browser (http://www.yourdomain.com/phpinfo.php).

When you run phpinfo.php in your browser, a long page of configuration info will appear. Your version of PHP will appear at the top of the page:

Frihost server 2 uses php version 4.4.4; I don't know about server 1.

To find out about your php settings create a php file in your web space and enter the following script:

Code:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>

This will give you a long page with a lot of information, most of which you won't even need.

You'll need to use the MediaWiki 1.6.x series, it was the last series to support PHP 4.

I'm using it myself: http://www.daniel15.com/smfshop_wiki/ Smile

And is for the php info, if you site is hosted on Frihost:

For people on server 1:
I can't remember the location, if I do I'll post it here
Or if a Mod can remember it, fell free to change it

For people on server 2:
http://frih.net/phpinfo.php

Both of those work, unless there's some subtle difference that I haven't noticed. I tried to find one of those links earlier but had to resort to posting the code for the php file which generates that information instead.
