Hi,
I am a PHP newbie, so I would really appreciate if all the PHP gurus here could help me in my website project.
First of all, my website is going to be a site where people can come and submit their writings(poems, stories, articles,...) and can receive feedback from other users. People can also post book reviews and summaries in a special books section. Other users can comment on it, edit it for some major error, etc.
I was wondering whether I would be able to do all this by using PHP.
If I can make such a website with PHP, I will post any doubts of mine here, and I hope you could all help to clear my doubts.

yes, you can do that in PHP
but not PHP only
the design of the site will be in HTML and PHP will make the comments thing and regsiters..

Dont worry i can help you for your php website . As you know that php is open source and with php we use mysql as a backend for storing information. You mentioned that users should log in to your website and there should write peoms etc.

u can easily make ur dream site using any cms made in php like drupal or joomla or by creating one on ur own.... Smile

you can use the CMS or content management systems which are available readymade on the web that too OPEN SOURCE !!!!!

Opensource means everything is free under it.
