When ever i try to install a component, after, it shows

the media directory is in 777 mode.
what may be the problem???
and another question can the email that is sent automatically, i.e. when registration. can this email me customized.??

Is there any firewall software that stops uploading the comp file ? which component you want to upload ?

No firewall at all.

First check the media folder is not read only.. and Send me info about that component So I will try it with my Joomla.

The problem looks like a typical safe mode-restriction. There is no chance to solve it. You should install the extension "by hand" (there are some explanations in the web, not sure if on joomla.org or mamboserver.com).

Sorry, but that's a great problem with Joomla!

i seem to have solved this problem.
1st i created new username, then i installed new component, it worked completely..
