FTP problems:- Announcement not helping.

i get this error message while using FileZilla to upload files into my frihost account.

the above announcement post on the ftp problems have not helped a single bit. i have tried to remove Passive mode but it still does not list the directory structure.

when will this problem be repaired??

M would like to know how you "tried to remove Passive mode."

I just tried FileZilla and, sure enough, Passive mode choked it. So I went to Edit->Settings->Connection->Firewall settings, clicked "Passive Mode" so the check mark went away, then clicked "OK" to make sure the changes had been saved. After that, I logged in again (of course, it asked if I wanted to break the other connection, and I did), and it worked fine - not even any delay in bringing up the directory.

If what I just described is NOT what you did (including the "OK" at the end, and re-logging in), give it another try and tell me what happens.
