FTP User Pass Invalid?

Hello All
I have created a new FTP use for my site
Only problem is that Authentication is denied when i try to login with it.
It says i am using an invalid password.
I have tried multiple times changing the pass and creating new users, but the same thing happened. Incorrect pass?

What am i doing wrong?
It says the FTP username is correct but the pass that i supply to it is incorrect.

This problem is driving me bonkers
I have searched for answers in the forum. And all problems speak about the Passive/active mode issue. And that does not relate to me (using CuteFTP, it rox) cuz I can connect to FTP using my cPanel name and Pass fine

Do you use username@subdomain.frihost.net as username?

FTP servers will always say that the username is OK, and request the password. Only after they get the username AND password they check the authentication details.

Make sure you use the username EXACTLY as it is written in cPanel (just as Bondings said). Any accounts that you add in will be in the format the-name-you-chose@your-site-name.frihost.net

Its better to use your CPANEL user and pass Very Happy

yes i am including the @ symbol in the name

I took a closer look at what the username was, and now i feel stupid. I just relized you needed the .subdomain.frihost.net in the username, LoLz, i thought u guys were refering to that as the FTP address
