I just signed up for the directadmin (server 2 I believe) and realized that server 2 and server 1 may have different functionality. Is Perl only available on server 2 and python on server 1? Thanks in advance,

Python and Perl should both be available on server 1 and server 2. Are you having trouble using Python?
You can't create an account on server 1, signups are closed on it.

...and if I may add: if you are not sure which one of them you should use, i'd recommend python. I've worked with python for quite a while now and I think it's a lot more intuitive and modern.
