Windows XP Media Centre edition problembs

Hello ..

i have been using Media Centre edition for a long time and the problem have been here ever since..

1. the programs in startup are messed up. they sometimes load. sometimes they dont.

2. computer loads fast sometimes, other times, its slow.

Do you suggest I reboot my PC with a clean XP SP2 ? or continue in this ?

i have a hellota programs .. so its hard for me to install them again Sad

Did you upgade from xp or do a fresh install?

u mean Re-Install ?? yeah u may do that...

but 1st try few things...

  • Get a good AVS like Kaspersky and run a full system scan to kill in any virus is there.
  • Get a AntiSpyware like a free tool as Spyboot Search n destroy and run a full system scan to kill in any virus is there.
  • Clean ur Temp file folder
  • Get CCleaner to clean junk registry or unnecessary files....


after this try posting ur systems Hijackthis Log file by downloading the tool and running a scan... !!

Maybe check the disk out also. Run Scan disk and/or defrag.

Kaspersky isn't free.

I can used a cracked version though, but are cracked version as affective as the full version ?



I do CCCleaner.

What I havent done in a long time i ScanDisk and Defrag. I will do it next morning ( working on the ftp problem right now Sad ) .. n i will let u know : )


by the way, anyone likes TuneUp Utilities ?
