I would recommend Joker. It's very stable, cheap, and has GREAT tools for people who don't know a lot. They give you full DNS control.
Check Godaddy.com he is the biggest player in domain name game says everyday at least 50000 domains register under them. their prices are good too. Also NameCheap.com is great too. their customer service is excellent and i think u should buy at them because you will need their support often since you are new to this.

yes u can put the name server name at the time of registring the domain name.....
I got the column to fill the name server name..when I war registering at www.alphanet.com
