I was wondering if it's feasible to run a DNS program like no-ip.org on frih?
I'm asking because I used to run my own webserver at my college's dormitory, using no-ip.org as DNS.
Any help is much appreciated!
Why would you? Frihost gives you a subdomain anyways.
And, no, because that requires root access.
Because my website used to be at pixeliuted.sytes.net now it's at pixeliuted.frih.net
I'd like it to be at sytes.net because most of my visitors know it at that site.
You could just use a redirect...

That would require my old server to be up. So I can't even use a redirect.
I didn't really understand what you want to do? For your information, we don't offer any dns support/changes in DA, but for most cases this is not needed.
Do you maybe want to host your pixeliuted.sytes.net on Frihost and redirect pixeliuted.frih.net to it? Or something else?
Almost. I want pixeliuted.sytes.net point to my frih.net.
Before, I was running my own server, with no-ip.org's software as my DNS to map to the name pixeliuted.sytes.net .
However, now I can't keep that server running. I would like to have my current pixeliuted.frih.net reachable via pixeliuted.sytes.net using no-ip.org's dns. Is this feasible?
