Changing Main Banner on Joomla

Hi guys,

I just want to ask on how to change the Main Banner on Joomla? The Black Banner with the Joomla Logo on top of a newly installed Joomla site... Thanks!

The image file is located in templates folder. Use an ftp program or direct admin to navigate the files. The template is rhuk_solarflare_ii. Look in the images folder and it is the file header_short.jpg. Just make an image the same size with the same name and upload it to that directory. The new file will overwrite the old one. That is it.

I use rsgallery2 but there are many to choose from. I would sugguest that you try a couple out and make a decision for your self. All of the components you could ever want can be found at joomla extensions. If you are looking for free templates I would recomend joomlaos.de. I hope that this gets you pointed in the right direction and you find what you are looking for.

Thanks dude! Its very helpful... Is it possible to change the footer message on a joomla new site?

All you have to do is go into the template folder that you are using and edit the <div=footer> info in the index.php file with a text editor. The stock template rhuk doesn't have a footer div only a php call in a table. If you want to change the info it is located in the includes/footer.php file. I would use a diffrent template. Very Happy
