How can I instal and access PHPBB?

Hello friends,
I want to instal phpbb in my site at addyour.net. How can I instal it and access? I have downloaded the phpbb2.2 zip file. Give me some idea. I know in this forum there are many experienced user those have done it before.

if you site is just revolved around forums you can put it up main public directory and that would make www.dotwatever.com as your forums
if you like to have a page then link off to forums then you can choose different directories such
as /forums , /phpbb, ...etc
once you FTP all files to whatever directory you choose
read phpBB instructions carefully
here is something you need to be aware of
that you need to set config.php to 777 after installation dont forget to set it back to 755 Very Happy

I don't want to bring a troll to life (we never know...) but i thnk Phorum or PunBB are better, regarding security. Everyone knows PhpBB's weakness, in particuler "Owls Skewl" users ( Razz

)
