In the never ending battle against a steep learning curve, I've been tackling php5. The time has come to try out some image functions. So I've enabled (or so I thought) GDlib. phpinfo says it's enabled, php.ini has been appropriately edited and php_gd2.dll does exist in the appropriate directory.
But none of my server doesn't know what to do with any of the gd functions.
Have I missed something obvious again?
Your help would be appreciated.

Have you restarted Apache since the last change to php.ini?

Try restarting it from the command-line. There may be error messages that do not show up otherwise.
Open a DOS Prompt window, CD to the bin-subdirectory of Apache and restart the web server:
Code:
C:\>cd C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2                   (?????)
C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2>cd bin
C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\bin>Apache -k restart

The FriHost servers don't run PHP5 - they run PHP version 4.* - so although you may be running PHP5 on your computer, remember that some of the code may not be functional if you decide to use it on your FriHost site.

Don't bother asking for PHP5 to be installed on FriHost by the way - it's not going to happen!
