Best Sci-Fi Baddies?

Who are your favourite sci-fi baddies? Who are not your fave though are undoubtably the best? Who are the most weasley and pitiful baddies ever known in the entire universe? If you were a sci-fi baddy who'd you prefer to be?

There's a lot of choice out there - especially star trek... I would have to say that the best would be aliens - remorseless killing machines, with no agenda apart from their natural instinct to spread and breed. The worst would be Jawas - not really baddies though they'd die. If I was one of the baddies it'd be HAL - a bit omnipotent.

I wouldn't usually type so little, but come on, no other bad guys have inspired generations of children to hide behind their chairs hoping for the good guys to come quickly, they have the look, the attidude and the cold heartiness that means you see them and thing "aw shit".
