James Michener's best?

rameshbn1
I've been reading Michener for a looong time now. I think he's one of the best among English novelists, though some of his works can hardly be called Novels - they are more like textbooks...

I've read and enjoyed
    The Source
    Chesapeake
    Mexico
    The Covenant
    Poland
    Alaska
    Space
    The Springs of Fire

There's one book I keep returning to, and that is Chesapeake. That was my first Michener Book, and it's still my favourite. I think Source is his best book, though.

Well I'm wrong about the other books. I just finished Caravans, and this has got to be Michener's best. It's small enough for light reading, and it's profound enough that I want to start reading it again.
