I am wondering what type of online business is most profitable. I think online stores and aution sites such as ebay are most profitable.
If you are starting online business, which one will you choose?
I'd have to say a service like Google Adwords and Adsense.
Something that provides an opportunity for other people to either make money themselves or help operate their business online all while making a huge percent of the profits on both ends.
Good luck competing with Google though.
Spam? They seem to earn a tidy profit.
While searching for the online money making secrets in net. I found the following methods which will make money online
1. Making money using Adsense (Required)
2. Affilate(i.e. clickbank)+Google Adwords
3. Hyip(High Yield Investment programme)
I really wonder How HYIP sites are working. Even some hyip sites pays 49% for a HOUR?!! and allows minimum investment of $1 .
Can anybody guide me about these HYIP sites.
I also need some information about these HYIP Sites.
Other wise, use Google Adsense.
here's my point of view about my online bussiness.
I made a site teaching people how to market anything on the internet... no matter what type is it (software, tech. goods, books, magz, and everything else)...
I use a website as a major and most decent way to promote any bussiness as most experts say... if you want to build a web site, you need a host (which i provide a link to my hosting affiliate program) and few companies to market their goods (and have affiliate programs with multitier with these sites and companies too) some ADs and safelists to promote the sites they've built on (affiliated on it too) and some content providers sites (and yes again i'm an affiliate with them 
)
So this way i give them good content, a way to build better life and economy and i earn from it. Stay away from HYIPs. I've lost a good amount of money on those. Many are scams and the other ones just don't really work. Again, stay away. Invest your money in other ways.

Thanx a lot for your reply for investing in HYIP gnllr.
I too know their is lot money sucking HYIP scams in net, which will give $0 payout to the investors.
But I heard that their is some long standing HYIP sites (which gives proper payout for more than four years).
So I want to know is their is any such sites that really investing the money in sharemarket and giving proper payout to investors? If so kindly post it here.

Thank you. I lost $900 in a site. Though they claimed to not be a ponzi scheme, they were investigated by the SEC and found to be a scam. Many people lost a lot more than I did. I'm hoping I'll see a little of that money returned. I lost a little more money ona site that had been in business for two years. Just be careful and use risk money ONLY! 
google is the best option for online businesses
How about Ebay? I suppose that's more of a commodities market, I just find it hard to believe that you'd be able to find stuff on Ebay that you'd be able to sell for a different price...it's all the same market.

actually something that piqued my interest was Currency trading. You basically just need a bank account and some money. Does anybody have experience with that? I may start a new forum. I have no idea what drives spikes and lows in currency, although i bet it has something to do with interest rates.
I personally think dropshipping is pretty good. Minimum hassle.
Can choose what you sell but many charge to enter their sites which is annoyin!
A highy populated forum with ads?
Although a dropship business is one of the most profitable (no merchandise to store), POD (Lulu, Cafepress) sites also do well.
And don't forget porn sites, but only for those without inhibitions; you're just paying for hosting, and marketing is easy to set up.
But a dropshipping OSCommerce site backed by an Ebay shop is probably your best bet...

For the best bang for your buck, you should consider something like writing copy or jokes for someone. You only need to have the skills needed and the website side of things doesn't have to be spectactular.
Don't know...At $1/500 words (which it seems all most people want to pay), it can take a while to accrue bucks...

I'm just curious... how does HYIP sites works? how does their business work?I would say Google AdSense is the way to go. I personally got the boot from Google. I was booking right along making huge dough and suddenly they cancelled my account!! I was furious, they claimed that I personally was going in and clicking on the ads!!! I swear to you, I DID NO SUCH THING. I was really frustrating for me because at that time we ran a small used bookstore website. We were definately making more of a profit off of Google than we were selling books. I find it funny that Google made the choice to cancel me right before they were required to pay me. The difficult thing with them is there is no fighting it. It is totally up to them on who can post their adwords on their site.

Just a website with lots of users then try and sell it to a company like google.Probably any kind of website with a lot of traffic+ Adsense...
In the long-run no business in a competitive market is profitable. Economic profits are zero - not to be confused with revenues.
For the moment google rules the net.
But i supose any monopoly (if in demand) can be a serios competitior. if you want to invest in other businesses, you are ought to learn some economics. then you can select a potential 'jackpot number' and score. but what are the odds? still it is possible to make money from google and ebay. so thats mostly it. although msn is geting strong aswell.
I think Sex website earns a lot of money. Most men visit porn web and want to see things.
Of course the advice I'm about to give wouldn't be relevant if you just about to start a business without any real huge capital. But if u do have some huge capital, opening bookmaker business will give you lots of profit imo
Just incase any1 not sure what a bookmaker is, it is simply betting websites. Billions and billions of dollars are floating around the market everyweek on every sports and we can safely say that not every1 is a winner, otherwise we wouldn't see them exist for so long. However it might be a volatile business, you could gain BIG one week and collapse the next week. But based on my experience and statistic that I read ages ago, on average punters are always on the losing side of the scale. The most profitable type of online buisness is the one that has alot of effort and hard work put into it.
Websites with adsense and many, many users can make thousands.
The sad truth is that most people are under the impression that they can make a website which has five words on it, and they will make a fortune 
Any type of intuitive, orginal site can make money. Any. The best money making way would probably be to sign up as an affiliate and get commission for your sales or make your own products and sell it

For example, you paid them 10$. People, who paid before you get paid. If there are other people who paid after you, you will get paid too. But if there aren't - you lost your morey. It's a form of financial pyramid. Usually 90% of people loose their money. But other 10% become rich. If you are very experienced and fast, you may earn some money on it.

HYIPs are just online pyramid scams. So never get involved. Yeah it looks like a good deal, but its not what its worth, honest.

1. Make something revolutionary (examples: Amazon, Digg, Youtube, Google)
2. Open a porn site.

While less crudely put than mikethm, I (unfortunately) agree that the amount of money (which is not widely talked about) that goes to the adult industry particularly from web sites, more than likely surpasses even Google. That said, there is more to a good company than the money it makes such as the morals of its employees. This again comes back to companies like Google who I would agree make exceptional internet companies.while most of the HYIP are either SCAM or SPAM. So please be carefull before investing in these. Google adsense is a better option for online marketting.
Forex trading needs patience - smartness - timing - luck and experience to earn.
PORN sites - earning money ???
People need to think about that. If you visit quiet often 
and spend a lot on those 
- then it doesnot mean that everybody is doing the same. Today PORN is just another thing and everything is available free either in one way or the other.
eBay - If you have good marketting skills - Investment and good products to market, then this is one of the best place to wander with.

It's about your passion. If you do something favorable you tend to pay more attention and spend more time for it and you will get profit automatically soon.Wow! I think a smart business person would not invest completely in an online venture without a certain amount of confidence in the program. Track record, testimonials, research are all things that are needed to make an intelligent decision, not propaganda. The story about Google pulling the switch on someone before having to pay seems to be common, so I would probably be extremely cautious of going forward with Google. I also agree with the person that said hardwork is necessary to be successful. There is no such thing as easy money!

I think AdSense is a good choice since you have nothing to lose. About HYIP, I definitely won't touch on it. I saw my room-mate lose so many money in this program. They all seem SCAM. Personally I won't trust these kind of investment. I rather throw my money in stock market. 
Auction site is good, if I have the opportunity I will establish one like eBay. I like doing trading, you always buy low and sell high. That's the concept of business. I used to watch education video from the internet, but only for free one. If I am no mistaken, www[dot]sex[dot]com sold for billions dollar. From here, I can see this is a huge market in the internet. this is an interesting quesiton and the answer lies upon the definition by online business. You can sell used stuffs online to make money, or sell stolen stuffs online. The profitability is different. Online is just a media, a possibility for you to get to the customers. And what business you are delivering matters in the profitability you can get. This is very true.
Also, a couple profitable trends I see all the time is: offer a quality free web application and then place unobtrusive text ads on it.
Or, have a quality free web ap and sell a "premier" version of it or have a "members only" part of the site with a fee attached. You have to have a good base app though.

Yes I have quite much experience as a Forex Trader. I started 4 years ago.
Even if I am not a full time trader as I have still my main job I make money from it.
In the last 6 months I made a return of about +50%, but of course the amount invested was small. If it would have been bigger the return would have been less because you need to take less risks.
So it can be a good business, but you need to start slowly, train a lot, learn a lot like in any successfu business. You will not get rich overnight. And if you take too many risks to get rich quickly you will lose everything.If you're an expert in a certain area or really passionate about something, I would recommend that you start blogging about it. You can make serious money on blogging combined with advertising these days.
Another option is Ebay. I bet 98% fail in their Ebay business, but the other 2% make the really big bucks.
The serious money is in advertising though, Google Adsense can make you alot of money if you manage to create a hightraffic website.
